Strengths: Fully capable to handle most newer games. Not too expensive. Vista's moderate requirements for address consumption, is manageable.

Weaknesses: Expect no weakness, unless you expect it to run the most intense graphics. You are limited to other bottle necking computing/hardware issues before it (the GPU) is the issue.

Overall Evaluation: Besides the fact that my HP has only one PCIe slot, and with MS Vista requirements, it is a solid Graphics card worth the investment. Not too expensive , and certainly an improvement to the on board GPU! You get what you pay for.

Strengths: made pretty pictures, while it lasted

Weaknesses: longevity, as in, lack of.

Overall Evaluation: Saying the last words over the dead carcass that is my video card, I cant help but feel jipped. Despite the competitive price I paid for it, it died an untimely death less than a year after purchase, too late for any help from a limited warranty. I have a liquid cooled rig, though the graphics card wasnt part of the loop - so I relied on what appeared to be somewhat substantial fan cooling on the card itself. But that clearly wasnt enough. If you dish out any goodly amount of graphics abuse onto your video cards, then I'd recommend steering away from this one. In hindsight, although the price is nice, I dont believe these cheap-end cards can really take the heat, literally. Its better to pay more for a serious hard-core card, and have it be able to stand the test of time.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: performance for the price, quit fan

    Weaknesses: It gets hot

Overall Evaluation: This card replaced a 7900gs on my gaming PC and what a differnce it makes. Most DX10 games palys smoothly on the highest quality setting. The only problem is heat and power consumption. You should have a big case with good air flow as well as power supply of 450W or higher to opreat this card at its best.

    Strengths: Price/performance ratio

Weaknesses: Heat: common to all these cards

Overall Evaluation: Great card! I did clean the old thermal paste off and applied some arctic 5 paste instead in a thin line. Seemed to be helping by about 5 degrees. I am happy!

Strengths: Single slot version 8800GT, G92 GPU

    Weaknesses: No fan control

Overall Evaluation: This video card has been performing wonderfully. Pretty much every game can run smoothly at maximum video settings. It's also nice and compact unlike the other 8800GT cards. It will only take up one motherboard slot and not block the slot below. The downside is that the fan is running at a fixed speed and does not change with GPU temperature. You will need to use software like Rivatuner to manually adjust fan settings. I easily overclocked this video card 700MHz core and 2000MHz ram without issue.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: New version of 8xxx series using Nvidia G92 chipsetDecent 3years + extra 2 years warranty if register it2nd Best VGA Card for the money right now after 8800GTS G92

Weaknesses: Uses reference cooler with very tiny fan that is hardly adequate cooling.

Overall Evaluation: Its a 8800gt with a G92 core, the reference cooler is making me have reserve about buying it at first tho. I got it at a good price, guess get what you pay for. I would rather get the XFX 8800gt tho which has the best VGA warranty and XFX cooler is a modified upgrade version of the reference cooler.

    Duration of ownership:1 Days

Strengths: -Infinitely better image quality than my old x800xl.-Runs AA and CoD very smoothly-Includes 5 year warranty if you register online

Weaknesses: -Runs very hot (50-55 C idle) even with the fan @ 100%.-Uses two PCI slots, should have used dual slot cooling-At least when I got it, nVidia played distribution games that ran up the price.

Overall Evaluation: Overall, I'm very satisfied. Gaming is a whole new experience with high IQ settings and resolution. I run CoD4 and America's Army @ 1280x1024 on all highest settings. Even during the most intense rendering moments, this thing never even hiccups. Unexpectedly, for me at least, this version has a newer, larger fan like some other brands. It still runs very hot, but the long warranty stops me from worrying about it ever dying. One last thing, a major reason I got this card was to enable AA and AF. With it on however, there's a very noticeable mouse lag, so I end up not using it. That could just be a matter of tweaking or settings though. (Running w/ core 2 duo E6600 & 2GB RAM.)
