    Strengths: Very Fast, Very Powerful, Sleek & Stylish, Lightweight, Very Large screen, Easy to Use, Comes with Windows Vista

    Weaknesses:It's a bit pricey!

    Overall Evaluation: This is an absolute MUST for everyone looking to get a new laptop! ...BUT, the price is a little to high in my opinion, I never would have got one if I never got mine for FREE. Luckily a friend recommended this website to me before I went and bought one: -- www.laptops.justgetitfree.com -- I checked out the website, completed ONE simple offer and met the requirements to receive one for FREE, it arrived a month later in the post!     Strengths: Size, weight, speed, screen, keyboard, and everything!

    Weaknesses:Right-shift key is in the wrong place.

    Overall Evaluation: Purchased an new Eee PC 1000h from Mwave on 4 Aug 08. Paid $574.98 including 2-day Air Shipping since we were leaving on a trip soon. I received the netbook on 6 Aug! That's pretty quick. I ordered this from Mwave because almost every other dealer was out of stock. I have dealt with Mwave before and they were excellent then and doublely so now.The 1000h meets all my expectations and then some. I was almost going to order an MSI Wind but read a few more reviews and comparisons and at the last moment changed my mind and bought the Eee PC 1000h. I have a wireless-N network at home and wanted to use that and I wanted the 6 cell battery which the Wind doesn't have right now. Additionally, I think the Wind will be higher priced with a 6 cell battery. The battery slides into place and locks down. It is just an example of how well this PC is made. The battery doesn't move once you've locked it in place. There are no squeaks or rattles any where on this machine. The USB ports are tight so when you plug something in, it certainly won't fall out. I have a WD 320GB external hard drive plugged into one of the USB ports and it is very responsive. The Eee PC 1000h is very well built. It's not as heavy as I expected but it does feel very solid. The screen is very bright right out of the box. I haven't made any adjustments to the screen since I got it. The keyboard feels very responsive and I don't notice any flex at all. I am disappointed with the placement of the right-shift-key and the up-arrow-key. The right-shift-key is was out to the right and it is awkward to hit it correctly when touch typing. I found a program that does key mapping and have swapped the up-arrow-key with the right-shift-key and now it is working much better. Still, they could have made the right-shift-key larger and put it in the right place without too much trouble.The case is glossy and does really show finger prints but they did include a cloth to wipe it down with. There is a drivers CD included and a spongy black cover for the PC. The box includes a users manual, a warranty card, and a Microsoft Works authentication card (not a CD). I was disappointed that they didn't include a WinXP CD. Overall, this is a great machine for surfing the web and checking E-mails. It really can do a lot more than that, much more but I haven't had the time to put it through it's paces. I have done some video (YouTube) and those work just perfectly. This is a real snappy machine especially when plugged in. I am very satisfied with my purchase and think this will be with me for a long time.

    Strengths: Just to preface this. I am a normal person... loves computers and did my research and wanted this or the MSI Wind. Love the computer and wanted to plug mwave for such a quick purchase.

    Weaknesses:Different moving from a full size laptop. Have had some issues with updating the BIOS from their site, which I'm working on, but nothing that has stopped it from working.

    Overall Evaluation: ASUS eee pc 1000h has been a nice surprise. Expected a few speed bumps in regards to its functioning, but pleasantly surprised by its functioning in XP. Got used to a dragging out phase with Vista... good to get back up to speed. Don't expect a powerhouse computer, but it is was it was meant to be, a very portable computer that surfs the web well, bluetooth capabilities a plus and sufficient power for my purposes.
