TurboTax Premier Investments 2006 Review
- TurboTax Premier is tops for detailed data entry, but that thoroughness requires patience: I had to download 15 updates plus the state program, and repeatedly during this time-consuming process TurboTax presented the message, "Checking for updates is taking longer than expected. Do you still wish to continue?"

Duration of ownership: 3 Years
Strengths: Easy to use step by step procedure. More then fair tier pricing.
Weaknesses: Would like the online and the store bought to match.
Overall Evaluation: I would and do advise people to use Turbotax at least as a way to compare your current tax prep. service. No cost for the online version until you want to print.

Strengths: Works with Quicken or Quickbooks
Weaknesses: Missing some forms
Overall Evaluation: I have been using turbo tax since it came out in Dos in 1990. In those days it was pretty crude but it now works great with Quicken or Quick Books. You can "force" Quicken to do things that it isn't suppose to do, such as calculate net income per investment property. The biggest advantage to Turbo Tax is that it ports everything over from Quicken and Quickbooks. I rate it the best in its price category.
