HP PSC 1610 All-In-One Review

- Priced at just $130 the compact HP PSC 1610 All-In-One fits easily into cramped workspaces, yet still offers a number of useful features. It has the smallest footprint of the nine MFPs we tested for the June 2005 chart, measuring just 17.3 by 11.2 inches with the front paper tray closed. When flipped down, the tray can hold 100 sheets, and it does double-duty as the output tray.

User Reviews for HP PSC 1610 ALL-IN-ONE

  • Reviewed by: Barbarjo

    Duration of ownership: 9 Months

Strengths: It's easy to set up. Gives sharp text and good picture quality.

Weaknesses: It is squeaking now. Every time I try to print something on it, it squeaks in agony. I can't keep the scanner working. Also, it is constantly looking for more paper when there is plenty of paper loaded.

Overall Evaluation: I would definitely pass this one up for the Canon

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Cheap purchase.Decent quality print for home use

Weaknesses: Printer ink expensive.Long process for scanning items.Set-up process takes a long time.

Overall Evaluation: I purchased my unit less than 2 years ago. The warranty is only good on these items for one year, and wouldn't you know it, I had problems.Continued to all of a sudden get a message that told me "Scanner Failure...Turn Power off and on again". Didn't work. Can't rid machine of problem. Hardware bad and told it cannot be repaired. Have printed, scanned and copied less than 7000 pages in 2 years, and it's now junk. Time to throw it away. Really need to think about purchasing another HP product after this experience
