Task Plus is a straightforward task scheduling program that sits in the system tray and uses alarms, including sound files, to alert you when a task comes due.
You can use filtering to sort tasks by project or category. This version of Task Plus will perform automated backups and comes with a password protection option. A relatively unusual feature of Task Plus is that you can use it to generate a task-filled calendar in HTML format, which you can publish on a web site to promote upcoming events for an organization. It beats making tables.
A related product, Task Plus Professional, offers project and task management for as many as 100 simultaneous users on a local area network.
