Editor's Review of NetInfo
Network and Internet geeks, here's a program just for you. It packs 15 of the most common and useful Internet utilities into a single, easy-to-use package. And instead of having to use the command line for them, you'll be able to use a graphical interface.
You'll find familiar ones, such as ping, Whois, traceroute, and a time server, as well as ones you may not commonly use, such as a tool that will verify servers and locations for email addresses. There's finger, of course, which displays information about a user logged into a specific server. Lookup will let you perform DNS queries. You can even get quotes from Internet quote servers with the Quote utility. And also useful is a utility that shows the HTML header code and page data for any Web page.
If you're not an Internet geek, you most likely won't want NetInfo. But if you are, you'll find it a simple interface to a group of very useful utilities.
